pedal steel strings...

can i use a set of the above on my 10 string LAP steel

It depends on your scale length.
Pedal steel strings are guitar strings, just in a different packet.
There's a website here
http://www.cs.helsinki.fi/u/wikla/mus/C ... scalc.html
which you can use to calculate your string gauges.
Just type in the material density of your string (7800 Kg/m³), the scale length and the pitch of the string, and aim for somewhere in the region of 13 Kg tension

Before I checked I was sure that was 1 of Basils tech meanderings but having now seen that it is ZBDs post I gotta ask. Zebedee WTF do you get this stuff from?
