This is a solid and robust guitar but I wouldn't say it is excessively heavy, what I would say is that it is the nicest sounding 12 string I have ever played, without exception! Of fourteen plus makes of guitars, my old man (now 90 listening from afar at times and not a steel guitar fan) has only ever commented on the tone of three guitars I have worked on, this was one of them! The others were Spence's 68 D10 pp and Ken's Pro III ... Had John Roche not had back surgery I believe this instrument would still be in his possession!

Graham, the MSA is still for sale. I'm sorry about my failure to reply for so long - just that I had'nt checked the BSS site, because I thought there was no interest in the guitar. And also thanks to Bob Adams for his completely unsolicited testimonial to the guitars' quality.
