The guitar was originally advertised at double the current price believe it or not. At the time of their initial manufacture, they were quite advanced in terms of European guitars, and certainly looked the part. However, they just cannot compete with a modern guitar for value. I suppose the guitar has historical value, although nothing like the advertised price.
