Spare a thoughtFor the world oldest pedalsteel player or at least England's oldest Pedal Steel player (unless you know different). Bernard Mills is 102 years old and has a birthday coming up shortly,Unfortunately he suffered a fall about two or three weeks ago and laid on the floor of his home for about three hours covered in blood Until eventually some help arrived. To find out where he had gone was not an easy task as the phone mail box at his house was full so you could not even leave a message, knowing Bernard was a devout Catholic I eventually managed to contact them to find out he was in a Wolverhampton Hospital after which I was able to contact him and have a short conversation .
It is a lonely existence when you out live your immediate family.

I enjoyed my brief chat with him last year John 'courtesy of your video call' he was in remarkable shape, so sorry to hear this news. I do hope they sort him out and make him comfortable. He's a class old act for sure!
