Looking for my first pedal steel guitar

Hi everyone. Just like a similar post from a few months ago. I am really keen to get my first pedal steel guitar but don't have the largest budget available. Any help to find something suitable would be greatly appreciated. I am based in Glasgow. Alex

Hi Alex,
Where in Glasgow do You reside? I too live in Glasgow,alas I cannot help in Your search for a guitar,however there is a group of players who meet monthly at Gartcosh and I would guess most of them are also members of this forum and,who knows there may be something available.
Do You already play pedal steel? My very good friend is showing His talents at Bishopbriggs folk club very soon,I think it could be next Wednesday,Willie Gamble is a very helpful guy to talk to and could offer You a lot of advice.

I stay in east Kilbride so not a million miles away. I play guitar and piano but not yet tried a steel pedal guitar although they have always fascinated me.

I'll keep an eye out on events it would be good to get a bit more knowledge on them. This forum looks like a goldmine of info right enough!
