Dear Donny + Steelies Team,
Hope you are keeping well! I am new to this forum and to steel guitar in general. I am a uni student in Edinburgh but will be in Glasgow over the 25th February. Is the SSGW still on for this Tuesday, 8pm in Gartcosh? And if so, would you mind if I came along? I'll gladly to help set up etc. As I’ve just started with steel, I only own a lap steel (lovely 50s silvertone, which I am happy to bring along!) and I’m getting to grips with C6 and B11. Since then I have studied PSG 'theory', and played some brilliant pedal steels fleetingly (only C6 neck) but would love the chance to be around them again and absorb the atmosphere- and hopefully learn and try out some new things! Hi Freddie, Yes the SSGW is still on for the 25th, Willie Gamble is normally there between 7 - 7-30 pm. I will not be there as I have been unwell. Enjoy the evening. Donny.
