Ringo is the 3rd Beatle to record solo with pedal steel. Paul McCartney had Lloyd Green come to his farm near Rye in Sussex to record Sally G and other tracks, and George Harrison used Pete Drake on some of his early solo albums. To me it shows that the band members had excellent taste in using pedal steel as part of their musical heritage.

And plenty of steel too! I always knew the Liverpool boys were big Country Music fans. Ken, I did'ent know Lloyd same to UK to record "Sally G", I thought it was recorded in Nashville in the 70s.
