Hi all, Dave has asked me to let the BSS members and friend know that at the moment he is in Ashford hospital waiting for a bed at St Thomas’s for open heart operation , triple heart bypass and replacement aortic valve but as usual he sounds upbeat in his messages.
We wish him all the best and I will keep you updated on any news from him.

Message fro Carole
Hi Del,
He had his operation today 5 hours in surgery. He’s in intensive care as we speak and they will wake him up tomorrow. It’s been a very tough day for everybody but his vitals are good and they are pleased with his progress. Lots of love xx

A great big Thanks You for all your kind wishes regarding my heart operation, I am back home now, all went well being looked after by Nurse Carol and although slowly, I am making progress albeit feeling like a 110 year old codger at the moment. I have started doing laps of the Bungalow no Zola Budd but getting there.
next goal trying the stairs one at a time. it's job to believe how weak I am, even lifting a cup of coffee feels like half a ton.
I have lost 2 stone, so my big belly has disappeared, so managed to look down and see my old chap for the first time in years, I must say I wasn't impressed at all.
it's no good Chasing Carol round the room, because if I catch her, I haven't got the energy to do anything!
Oh well onwards and upwards as they say. Cheers Lads.
