I have just been informed that my good friend Martin has passed away. Martin was a great country singer and I had the privelidge of being his steel player for a number of years. MARTIN PERDINE AND THE BIG CITY BOYS. Martin, rest in eternal peace, you will never be forgotten.

Very sad news Dave, he was a regular at my Bulkington gig, he will be missed. Rest in peace Martin.

It may surprise some people to know that Martin had some incredible musicians play for him such as Don Kerr on lead guitar, Owen John on fiddle and then brilliant B J Cole on steel before I joined Martin, also brilliant musicians like Bobby Farmer, great Bass player and lead guitar, then Alan (the Rat) Roberts absolute solid rhythm guitarist and harmony singer and not forgetting Roger Marshall on drums who you could set your watch to, an absolutely brilliant drummer, no fancy shit just solid country drumming, we were all inspired by Martin and we played good Country music.
