Sellers remorse.....Best Advice.....

Postby JohnDavisStringsHere » Wed Aug 24, 2022 6:12 pm

I have seen it time and time again and its not nice, people ask me to find a guitar a new home and not long after the deed is done the remorse sets in!. If you own it and it owes you nothing do not sell !!! I have known people that sell because they have no money and a month later they still got no money and no guitar. If you have been bitten by the steel bug....... he does not let go easily and even if you think you will never play again.... its a beautiful bit of furniture to look at ..do not sell ...the sreel bug will get you!!

Very very true. I miss my old beat up Maverick and if I could find it I would get it back if it was still in the same condition and not messed about with. It was in a beat up case with "Country Law" written on the front. The legs were chromed steel and not the original aluminium and the height had been raised. Extra knee levers had been added to bring up to standard setup.

Come back to me sweetheart - I miss you. Didn't think divorce would hurt this much. :D :D :D

Everything you say is true John but when you lose the ability to play through medical conditions which will never improve there comes a point where it is more frustrating to have around than keep for sentimental reasons.

I know there has to be exceptions les I just hate it when any of us packs up, there are too few of us trying to play this beautiful machine.
