I’m currently nearing the end of a 79 date theatre tour with “Seven Drunken Nights, the story of the Dubliners” (playing tenor banjo, Dobro and mandolin)
but will almost straightaway be joining a theatre show called “One night in Texas”.
I will be playing five string banjo and Pedal Steel with the new show and I cannot wait to get started.
I’m performing with SDN at Baths Hall theatre in Scunthorpe tonight.
Thought I’d set up my steel and try out my new live rig in the dressing room.
As I only need a speaker for monitoring purposes, I’ve gone ultracompact with a Quilter superblock US preamp pedal and a Hayden 1×8 speaker cabinet and of course the obligatory Boss DD3.
The pedals will be going on my new D’addario XPND pedal board along with a Peterson tuner and a Seymour Duncan pick up booster. 
First results sound absolutely fantastic and I can’t wait to get it through a full range PA system.
