This is very interesting, and well worth listening to how the steel is scored in this Broadway recording.

Thanks for posting this Danny, very interesting just proving the steel has a place in any music if the arranger is prepared to include it. And why not?

Perhaps it's difficult to score/write for if you don't possess a deep knowledge of the capabilities of the steel. I don't really know, I'm talking out of my hat here!
But I do know the sound combination of psg and cello, beautiful, in the saddest of all keys, D minor. Where's ma hanky!
