Postby Donny Johnston » Mon Jan 03, 2022 5:06 pm

As far as I am aware Jan 25th is going ahead. If I hear anything to the contrary I will let you know. Need suggestions for tunes. Hope to see you all there. LDN.

Lord Donald
As we now have permission to hug each other again, do we need to bring biscuits with us to get into the hall on Tuesday?
I’m not worried about my figure, I’m just asking for a friend!
No longer slummin, I’ve got a Mullen and a damn good amp as well,
they’ll be well played, if not played well, seat time alone must tell!

Quite right, Tony, 'Burn's Night' it is, and if you're lucky enough to attend you might well hear some Burn's music emanating from the Dobro of Mr. Dougie Stevenson, or a monologue, courtesy of that great raconteur, Mr. Willie Gamble. Sadly, I won't be attending but I hope all who do have the usual grand time.
GFI Ultra keyless S10 4+5 Emmon's setup + Sigler, Li'l Izzy, Hilton volume pedal, Roland Cube 80gx, Joyo American Sound Pre-amp, Behringer VD400 Delay Pedal, Peterson Strobo Plus HD and a brace of bars, Ben's, Ezzee-Slide, Pearse, BJS, SIT nickel strings.

Hi all, I have been in contact with the Halls Dept, we are good to go on Tuesday. Hopefully see you all there. I know Danny and his sweets won't be there.
I hope we are getting nearer to the end of this hellish virus.

Well now, tonight at the January meeting of the SSGW we had a visitor from a Canadian guy called Brian Messershmidt, yes I know that sounds rather grand and on the face of things, beats John Davis, Ken Byng and Ted Nesbitt, but worry ye not gents he is living in St Monans in Fife and goes back to Canada in September. But I bet I had you worried there lads.
All in all a good night, 8 guitars, a good few tunes were played and a fair bit of instruction was given.
Fantastic to meet up with the lads again to share our love for this instrument that we play, roll on February
Any ideas for tunes, get them to Lord Donald asap
