London Steelies Meet

Postby HarryBohay » Mon Oct 18, 2021 6:03 pm

Hello everyone, it's been a while since I last checked in, hope everyone is doing well!

Joe Harvey-Whyte and I have been in contact to put a loose plan together for a London steelies meeting in November, venue is to be decided, on the basis of numbers, and we're thinking the front half of November would be enough time to get things together.

I suppose the purpose of this post is to gauge the reception to holding such an event and get a rough idea for numbers, everything else will follow.

Chime in if it's something you fancy, I look forward to your replies.

H
No talent, but plenty of enthusiasm.

Great to hear - good luck, here's hoping for great success.
Please let's know how you get on; let's see if we can link a network of steel guitar meetings around the country. There's us (North Steelies) and the Scots guys already going - maybe there are more I don't know about?

I might be interested.. to see you all and Matt.
Keep it very north and I will see if I can make it…
No gigs much these days so a bit of picking would be helpful.
I’ll keep an eye on this post.
BJ Cole might see this too…
CD's and individual tracks available to download from iTunes and CD Baby.

Central London would be a nightmare to get to for me much as I would like to attend, I like to stay this side of the m25 where parking not so much of a problem.
Be nice if there was a south London meet and a north london meet both the right side of the m25.

I will attend if possible. May not bring an instrument as although I am playing steel again, I am still having difficulty driving and lugging gear since my accident. Would be good to catch up.

As a elderly newbie to PSG I would be interested to come along and talk/watch the experts!
