Masterbodge refreshed

Postby JohnDavisStringsHere » Sat Oct 09, 2021 4:29 am

This lovely old Bennett guitar came to me with her knickers around her ankle's , the pick up that came with it would not fit in the hole so first job was strip the mech out and mill out a slightly bigger hole on the way cleaning up 30 years of crap and what looked like a pint of old engine oil, the pedal bar that was on it was an old Shobud pedal board heavy and fit for scrap bin, there were not two pedal rods the same and one of them was made of 3 bits!
The pedals had been drilled out to take a bigger bar that sported a piece plumbing copper..... you could not make it up! So, a new pedal board to be made and a re rodding and it is nearly finished just need to rod the levers.
Pics are not in order, i just took a snap now and then to chart my progress.

Bloody hell, John. Once it's finished you should rebrand it as a 'Bennett-Davis' Lazarus.
GFI Ultra keyless S10 4+5 Emmon's setup + Sigler, Li'l Izzy, Hilton volume pedal, Roland Cube 80gx, Joyo American Sound Pre-amp, Behringer VD400 Delay Pedal, Peterson Strobo Plus HD and a brace of bars, Ben's, Ezzee-Slide, Pearse, BJS, SIT nickel strings.
