Super Slow Bottle Neck Blues on Pedal Steel

Postby Jif » Sun Aug 08, 2021 6:13 pm

This an improvised bottle neck blues I did a while back, for a friend to use on his music production blog.

I'm using my pottery bar to get the bottle neck type tone.

Nothing fancy, just chillin'

Thanks Danny, it was just before I changed the copedent, but it's using a few changes I did prior. Mainly using AB, no pedals and few knees to get the 7ths :guitar:

Thanks Donny, I was aiming for a Ry Cooder type tone, think it's close, not so much the playing 8-)

Thanks for your concern re my health, not so good, there's an update in News.

At least I now know what the problem has been and it can be dealt with.

Nice pure sound Geoff, I like it.

Sorry to hear about the health issues. As someone who was diagnosed with Leukemia last October (CLL), I know what stress such news can put you under. Thankfully, I don't have any symptoms at all (It was spotted by chance), so I'm lucky...back pain and the steel guitar are not great bed-fellows that's for sure.

Hang in there!!

Thanks Gary, sorry to hear about your health, hopefully it won't develop and will remain dormant. My condition was discovered by chance as well, though it was already active but I think it has been caught early which is good.

Indeed the initial shock is hard to take, but I'm pretty much in the acceptance phase now & my stress has diminished a lot, though once the chemo starts it'll probably rise again, but just need to get on with it now.

Take care,

Geoff
