The pro's and con's of building an Emmons push pull

I now believe unless you stumble upon a massive heap of Emmon's original parts and I mean enough to just about build it you are probably wasting your time as by the time it becomes playable you figure out the cost and realize you can't afford to sell it that is even with discounting all the time you have spent on it., Emmon's parts are becoming rare as Hen's teethe and if you do get it built in a clone like state of a real Emmon's you cannot call it a real Emmons you can say "if it walks like a Duck and Quacks like a Duck its a Duck" but its still not an Emmons.
I am fortunate that my project came along at a time in my life when I needed a distraction and to that end it was totally worthwhile and I have no regrets plus fortunate that I don't need to sell it either in fact it is going to get gigged at the earliest opportunity........

Just call it a "Davis Push Pull".

At the end of the day, it is still a push pull. All you need is some decent decals and away you go.

I applaud you for your work in building this guitar, even using ready made parts it's still a big challenge to put them all together and make it work, it will be rewarding to play it and it will mean a lot to you.

John's guitar isn't as Franken as my vintage watch collection...so the world Devil probably wouldn't be needed.
