Sidney Devine Gone 13.02.21

Postby bob adams » Sun Feb 14, 2021 10:04 am

Sad to see the Legend has gone, he may not have been every bodies choice but he was hard working and successful, 15 Million albums over his career is something. and speaking of Legend our Own Dougie Stevenson played steel for him for many years as Donny did for five years also.

Good memory to see Owen's smiling face in the background of the pic here , happy days.

There will be many unhappy ladies in Scotland today!

R.I.P. Sid condolences to the family

Yes, very sad, I personally enjoyed Sid's albums and performances , he certainly was Scotland's star of country music.
Condolences to his family.
RIP Sidney.

Sad news, I was always a fan of 'Steak and Kidney's' full on delivery, and I was over the moon when he gave the thumbs up to my little contributions to his last CD.
RIP Sid.

Met up with Syd many times with Dougie, the thing I admired most was the way he would take the time to meet and talk to fans, all too often some “stars” do their best to avoid fans, not Syd, he would always take the time after shows to meet them, sign stuff for them, take pics etc. Not everyone’s cup of tea musically, but always the professional showman giving one hundred percent. My condolences to Shirley and the family and friends.

Question: what has 60 legs, 8 teeth and reeks of urine.
Answer: the front row of a Sydney Devine show.

I know,. I'll go to the bad fire for that.
