Hi John,
If you are going to colour the guitar, may I suggest Crimson Guitars for stains. You can even purchase just sufficient for one guitar.
There are lots of examples on YouTube.

Well this is certainly taking my mind off of other worries it is time consuming and needs full attention but there is progress..... now you see how far I have got with the build now is the time to take it all apart again and start to work on the body paint job so hey ho back to the wood>>>>>>>
