WY-SEA-KI

Postby Dave Wade » Sun Aug 23, 2020 3:40 pm

Being from Bradford I'm interested in getting hold of one of the instruments - one has just turned up on ebay, a 6 + 8 twin neck.
Anybody know this instrument I believe it's down in the West Country?
Equally anybody know of any others for sale?
Thanks
David

There's an 8 string on Ebay right now. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-1970 ... 4902.l9144

The 8 string one on ebay has duff electrics, shouldn't be much of a problem to fix or replace. To be at their best, the Cyril Pocock (of Leeds) p'ups need the preamp though. They were very well made guitars but rather OTT on the electronics - all those knobs

I see the single 8 Wy-Sea-Ki on ebay sold for £206.01, which I think was a good buy, even if just for the woodwork and fittings. Worth getting the electrics sorted out - maybe start by checking the solder joints before handing it to a boffin for the complicated bits.
Was it someone on the forum?
