Really appreciate it Ken, loved being a part of it. Great to be on the same project as people I've looked up to since being a rookie.

Danny, sorry to be a pest, I've scooped my mids Post EQ a bit on the one I've uploaded to Dropbox.
If it sits well enough in the mix for you then let us know or I'll put them back to normal. (Got my tube amp vst set and scooped afterwards with the channel mixer).

I've just done a session for a Scottish singer tonight and I'm flabbergasted with the result. It's the best I've played in a long time. Reason I'm telling you this is that my mids aren't scooped on the project and the tone is unreal. It's similar to scooped, not a huge difference but let us know how it sits please. I think the mids add a bit more presence but too much can be honky...although...I do love to think I'm playing the Grand Ole Opry in the 90s with a big Peavey.
Kind Regards, Steven Hicken Jr.

Thanks Davie! I presume so, videos would take a lot to get right.

Here's 2 mug shots of me

I created a folder on Dropbox called Photos...might be an idea to upload two each to there rather than clog up the thread guys...

I have a YouTube account so I could put the finished sound file on there along with each players photo. Could you put your favourite photo directly in the Dropbox folder that Davie kindly created. The image system on this site reduces the file size, so putting your hi-def images on Dropbox would be the best way to go. If possible, can you use a photo of yourself with the steel that you played.

The photo system worked okay with the American's Imagine clip. Just gives the viewer a clue of who was playing and when. Every time I record my piece, I think of a different and better move that I could use. One of the benefits (or not) of having time on your side, and one of the flaws of being a perfectionist.

I'll get this done as soon as I can. It's quite tricky with a young family at this time of year getting much done

Don't worry Matt. Just fit it in whenever you can. I've been in the same boat this last week, but things are quietening down this coming week. I'm in my studio this afternoon, so I should break the back of Miss You Nights today. As has been pointed out, the timing in certain passages is strange to put it mildly. Also, it's off-putting having the piano playing the melody line in the verses. I may need to mix down the piano in another mix, and EQ out the pingy hammer sound of the piano on certain notes. Kudos again to the guys who have submitted their parts so far.

Danny - I'll be in touch shortly, about sending all of the backing instruments to you separately. It might be easier for you to mix the whole thing. Hope you all had a great Christmas.

No probs Ken.
I've used a bit of dynamic eq to tame that clanging piano, it was definitely cutting the steel's grass.

I'm sorry, guys, but I'll have to bow out of this project, due to pressure of work and a host of domestic commitments, I just don't have the time for any steel playing :(
