Nail Varnish! Only Tuesdays! But it's a Monday!

Postby bob adams » Mon Dec 14, 2020 6:32 pm

I have never found colours that suits me until now!

For those of you who get into the mechanics of these here beasts of ours you may find this amusing or actually extremely helpful.

Colour code your keys and spanners:
3mm cap screw to 3nut (pink)
4mm cap screw to 4nut (Yellow)
5mm cap screw to 5nut (blue)
3mm rake screw grub (green)
And for the Emmons boys 7/64" for the changer and, and! (the red one)

When you are busy you will never know how much this saves time.

Pick a colour, any colour, I just hope you can paint them better than me!

That's all well and good Bob, but lets have a look at at your fingernails. I think that the pink would suit you extremely well.

Bob
Now that you've finally come out of the closet and declared your favourite colours in nail varnish  , were you touting for " business " at Gartcosh when you suggested that I needed an M. A. to help me take videos of my playing?
No longer slummin, I’ve got a Mullen and a damn good amp as well,
they’ll be well played, if not played well, seat time alone must tell!

The terminology is MUA Robert, and whilst one or two of them have been used in some photo shoots in the past! Be assured ............

I row only one side of the boat!

Glad to see the post got your attention just the same!

*********************************

Tony, you are in no danger here! The title was to grab attention on an otherwise potentially dull post as I'm sure you appreciate, I may however consider a different tack in future!

All humour apart, the colour coding is extremely helpful especially when you are in a rush. Someone said to me recently, I can't believe you just pick out the correct Allen key for the job................ Truth is! sometimes I don't!!!

No jokes here - just thanks for passing that on!
Most of my tools are in clearly labelled boxes, but when they're in use it's a very different matter  . I'll start to use tape on the allen keys to sort out metric and imperial on the bench. :guitar:
Fender SM T-8: Shakey 10-plank: Ricky 6: Harmony H7 R Smeck,: plus "home-mades"
Fender D-10: Sierra D-11:
Resos- Goldtone 8 string & Regal 7
FenderTwin: Peavey Delta Blues: Marshall AS50R: DigiTech>GK MB200->Telonics 15"

Robert, far be it from me to criticize any of your work( as you know i am a huge fan of all you do) but that paint job sir, looks like they were rubbed down with a half brick, and painted with a bear's arse.

Mr Gamble, that comment of yours on the quality of Bobs painting efforts remind me of a time many years ago when you came to my house and passed comment on my neighbours front door which he had just painted. Can you remember how you described it. I can. LDN
Blanton D10, Justice s10, Fender Acoustasonic 150, 1 Brain, 2 Hands, 2 Knees, & 2 Feet.

Ah! LDN, that I'm afraid is where you have the advantage, I can't remember what I had for dinner. But do enlighten me as to what comment was made about your neighbour's paint job.
I hope you are both managing ok with this lockdown.
