If I was a millionaire I would. I'd be saving an unsuspecting newbie from getting conned.

I see plenty of overpriced Mavs. I remember someone in a big guitar group on Facebook asking for photos of people's guitars. Naturally, I took the proverbial and posted a picture of my Show Pro but a lot of people seemed to love it.
Anyway, someone from Australia jumped in on my comment saying they'd just bought a vintage pedal steel and it was expensive. (Don't know if he was trying to discredit my Show Pro with the comment). I asked him for pictures and when he sent them it was a Maverick. I complemented it saying "Nice Maverick". He came back and said "It's not a Maverick, it's a Sho-Bud." After nicely explaining that the Mav is a student model Sho-Bud... well, I think the expensive vintage pedal steel thing left his mind and his heart sank.

Too many people out there are selling these machines for way more than they're worth because of the Sho-Bud name. They are nice sounding machines but in terms of modern guitars they are missing 3 knee-levers and a lot of them are in battered conditions.

For this money you could have a Pro model Sho-Bud that still hold their own today.
Kind Regards, Steven Hicken Jr.

The pic. in the listing wouldn't show on my machine - is it a vinyl one or an early maple? The maple ones had a good sound but the mechanics were sad - especially the ones without the roller nut.
