Advice needed

Hey everyone,

Hope you're all staying safe and aren't going too batty.

Well, I've been wanting to polish the end plates and pedal bar on my Show Pro for a while but I've been scared of doing it in case I choose wrong stuff and tarnish the metal. Plenty of polish for sale in Wilkinsons but it's all abrasive... Up to now the polishing work out of the factory has been able to be touched up with a quick dust from a duster cloth but recently I've got some marks that wont shift.

What polish and style of cloths do you guys use, and preferably they are British too so I can actually buy it without messing round with imports.

Steven I used simichrome for a while and on one of My trips to Dallas when I spoke to Bruce Zumsteg He said simichrome was slightly abrasive although I had never noticed any sctratches developing.Anyway I visited a Wall mart in Dallas where they stocked Mothers Mag an aluminium polish which many of the U.S. players swear by. I have been using it now for a long time with good results and You do not need a vast amount of elbow grease.I had a look on AmazonU.K. and they have it in stock. Just dial in Mothers mag

I'll look into them. I was thinking about Mothers after researching on the American forum but I never knew they distributed it here and import duty has really got on my nerves recently...paid a tenner in duty to get Travis Toy's album over...my wallet will be crushed if I get another new steel.

You can get a tub of Mothers Mag polish on eBay. No hidden costs as the price is as quoted. I bought a couple of large tubs at Walmart on my last trip to the States, and one tub goes a hell of a long way as you don't need to use very much. It's not abrasive but gives a beautiful shine to the endplates and pedal bar. Hope you are keeping well buddy.

Thanks Ken! Think I'm going to snap up some of that stuff. A few months ago I checked places like Halfords and Wilkos and all the stuff they had was .
