Hi Mick, yes the pups are original but they have been rebuilt I am fortunate to have an electronics genius for a friend and it's the sort of challenge he goes for... the new tuners arrived today so I hope to have it finished over Christmas then if anyone would like to own it the price is 550-00.......

John,
what do you mean you don't know your way around a Plank. Sounds way above my pay grade in skill set.
keep playing.
Best wishes,
Dave

Dave you are way too kind to this ol pedal pusher, I think if Mick Hearn would come and demo it for me it would find a new home in a heartbeat or two....... I have beefed up the case a bit and that is where it will now stay till someone takes a fancy to it :)

Hi there, I've just joined this Group. Thought I'd post that I have a doubleneck Conchord same as yours, which must be unusual as I don't think they're too common. Purchased on Ebay around 5 years ago for a princely sum, around £170 if I remember rightly. I have the front neck tuned to C6 and the back tuned currently to Open E, though thinking of retuning it to Dobro G as I play a lot more country than blues. You probably know this, but Conchords were made by a guy called Cyril Proctor in Armley, Leeds, UK, in the late 50s and early 60s.

Being from Leeds, that's a nice piece of steel guitar history to know!
