A polite question....doe's John Davies get first refusal on anything for sale? I was interested in a left handed PSG recently but it seems like John 'snaps everything up' pretty quick!

Wouldn't it be more polite to get in touch directly with him instead of posting that kind of message?

What do you mean by 'that type of message'? It was a polite 'tongue in cheek' question.

I mean that in my humble opinion (and English is not my mother tongue as you can guess) that was a very rude message. There is a Latin sentence "Excusatio non petita, accusatio manifesta" that means that an unprovoked excuse is a sign of guilt. And you started your sentence with "...A polite question...

It wasn't an excuse, it was a polite question.

Thank you Fran for batting for me but I can really manage myself the answer is simple, first come first served and I reckon I was first, we all have the same chance to stay alert and buy when the chance comes up.......... My life revolves around steel guitars and I like nothing more than bringing one back to life after 30 years of neglect, this Lefty was in a pitiful state when it arrived here but not so any more it now looks beautiful and as I could never ever play it you are welcome to make an offer for it, as are the other two that were interested in purchasing it. I can tell you after 30 years in the case the colour has not faded and there is no wear on it as it has not been played.

Hi John,
No rudeness intended on my part. It was just a tongue in cheek comment by me that Fran thought was out of order.

As you quite rightly say 'first come first served'. I have done the same thing myself when buying things. Would I have bought it? I don't know. I have played normal guitar for almost 60 years but I now suffer with weak fingers which make playing chords hard.

I bought a lap steel 7 months ago and been having fun with that and was toying with the thought of a PSG. But as I don't play out anymore, justifing the cost of buying something half decent just for a hobby probably would not sit too well with my wife!

Hi Fran,
There is no need for you to apologize. You said what you thought I said was wrong and responded. No harm or bad feelings were ment or felt on my behalf.

Best regards,
Baz.
