Best advice for a new PSG player?

Even a numpty like me can figure out it means " Find My Gchord " but that's only in the " other " parts of Great Britain, up here it means " Me Gently "

Donny I FOUND IT!! great advice and have managed to use A pedal and D lever [Emmons set up?] to get a G on the 6th....so useful, so wonderful.

Biggest problem I have for someone just starting out is rocking off the B pedal and leaving it on the A???? My knee keeps hitting the LKL
Ted Nesbitt called in to tweak my pedal steel, what a lovely guy and a great player, but I still cannot do it unless I sit right back from the steel, and then I cannot hit the knee levers.
Tonight I'm going to lower the A and B pedals way down to see if that helps. A bionic ankle maybe the way forward.

And if you release the A pedal you have a G7, if you release the E to F lever with the A pedal still down, you have a G minor. Of course these combinations work on any chord 3 frets up from the open major, i.e. 0n the 8th fret you get an A chord, release all pedals / levers you have a C, engage the A pedal you have an A minor, the relative minor of C major, etc.

It still amazes me how well all the pedal / lever combinations gel together with open chord positions, great design I guess.

I’m very much with Frank on this. I’ve always been too lazy or stupid to learn anything properly
When I somehow finished building one of these unbelievable instruments, it sounded so wonderful that I was happy as Larry playing it for hours without really knowing too much about the theory.

Then the madness started....it seemed that the more I learned, the worse it sounded
That was it, all my other guitars were abandoned and every spare moment is now spent trying to perfect the bits I have learned. Next came “not enough levers syndrome”!!! Then, obviously, another guitar was essential because I couldn’t waste time trying to put more levers the homemade one. Then another few tasty bits gleaned from the internet, and off we go again.... and again .... and again.... Best get a picture of your loved ones by your instrument Frank, so you can recognise them in the street.
