ps. by having first slider full on, 2nd one full off, 3rd full on, 4th full off, 5th full on, 6th full off, you will achieve a quite passible dobro type sound, i know derek thurlby uses an eq to achieve this, he told me, and it is pretty darn good,

That's essentially what Bobbe Seymour's Bobro pedal is. It's just a Boss GE-7 with the sliders arranged in the fashion you described above.
