Very quiet on here at the moment so,

This is where you can rest a while and discuss anything - doesn't have to be steel guitar related!

Well here is an update on my wastage of precious resources.... I have learned a lot! and spent many hours destroying perfectly good aluminum, the second most important thing is you can spend hours toiling for the perfect part, almost get there then Oh S()1T !! mess it up by drilling a hole in the wrong place..... but the first and most important thing I have learned is YOU CAN DAMAGE YOUR FINGERS!!! :censored: :censored: :censored:
Anyway the Engineering is on hold at the moment until I find and acquire the tool that cuts perfect slots in the part that takes the knee lever as I have tried several ways and fed up wasting material.......

Then I put my specs on and saw it was the other digit  I thought it was a case of the old adage, "A bad workman always maims his tool".
Stuffs looking very good, though.

Rejoice with me for I have cracked it!! The answer was a side and face cutting wheel....... GONE>>> is the hacksaw, I can now cut a perfect slot in just the right place to accommodate the knee lever as per pics :) :D
