Lord Donald
Yer name is in zee book and that goes for " others " missing on Tuesday night, including the sponsor of the toon, who threw a " sickie " at the last moment, due to running out of wine I think.
As the evening commenced Dave Withers started by giving a practical demonstration of how to drink wine from a bottle whilst staggering across the floor, he never spilt a drop and once breathalized he was pronounced fit to play steel guitar afterwards

Geoff rose to the occasion and played a very melodic version of destroying the world we live in,
no traces of liquid were to be seen on his troosers and the floor was still dry when he had finished :guitar:

Oor Wullie was the toastmaster for the evening and he used his charm and good humour to intoxicate the hall with his usuall flair and tenacity

The evening toon was played and when the wine had finally been " tanned ", the " Workshop" was revived with the toastmaster giving a practical demonstration on how to play harmonics, he then followed with a demonstration of how to play progressions up the board using the scrap metal attached to the undercarriage of a pedal steel guitar, at this point I considered returning to pedal steel but the pain in my :censored: reminded me of why I had to forget about it!

Looking forward to the next " Workshop " and think it should be a condition that the person who name's the toon should at least turn up or submitt a Dr's line as wel as a note from both parents, Donnie included , " Manky Dan " a bedridden guitar is not an acceptable reason for non attendance :P :guitar: :guitar:
No longer slummin, I’ve got a Mullen and a damn good amp as well,
they’ll be well played, if not played well, seat time alone must tell!

Guilty as charged Robert! The good (or bad) news is that work is now finished and I am a gentleman of leisure again so back to the wine! Should be no problem for the next meet and I'm working on something special. The very bad news is that I have taken a pledge not to use vibrato in any shape or form until I've got pitch totally under control so everything will be sounding howling for a while......

That's one good pledge, Calum. :guitar: I'll be adding that to the other one that I struggle to keep
