Due to an emerging family emergency I also will not able to attend this year's Festival. Good luck to all of the remaining attendees,I know it will be a great show.

Will, you need to send in a letter , Please excuse Will, or something to that effect. You'll be missed. Donny.

Thanks Donny, I was looking forward to seeing how far on you'd got with the plank.

Will, the purpose of the plank was to help me with my problem that affects quite a lot of the more elderly steel players, the weight of the instrument, I intended to put palm pedals on to the plank. Unfortunately there wasn't enough space to fit it, so, the Morrell will be back up for sale. I decided to stop :censored: about and have ordered a Deusenberg, should have it in the next couple of weeks. Really sorry you are not going to make it, Donny.

Deusenberg!!!!! :D :D I shall look forward to seeing that mate. Be interesting to see what you set it up as.

Pedals? That's the easy way out. Sorry - only bragging :o . But - bearing in mind how many people are moving to lap due to the weight problem, I am willing to show how I go about doing what I do. I use mostly C6 so those with twin neck pedal steel would have no problem. I will also bring a couple of C6 lap steels so if anyone wanted to give it a try then great. I am sure Basil would be willing to join in.

If you wanted to have a go before then, have a look at Basil's videos on YouTube concerning harmonising in 6ths and 3rds.

But of course if you want to give it a miss altogether then I will sit back and listen. And depending on time of course.

Due to family illness, I will not be able to come over to Thornton Watlass this weekend. Hope you all have a great time, which I know you will. I will miss you all and your music.
