Thanks for posting this video it was a very informative and interesting interview and well worth watching, between them they cover the story of pedal steel from the early "days" ( no pun intended ), and it gives a very interesting history of Lloyds recording work and his approach to playing the pedal steel.
Well worth finding time to watch even if you play non pedal steel, it will change my approach to steel guitar, looking forward to part 2

A great interview, worth while watching and makes you realise how special Lloyd Green is....Paul is not bad either!!!!!..

This interview really has immense historical importance for those of us in the steel guitar world. Paul F is a great interviewer in as much that he leads Lloyd into milestone events such as the birth of pedals, tunings, sessions, thought processes, bar control and a collection of all of the elements that makes Lloyd what he is. Once Paul guides Lloyd into the direction that he wants to hear about, he just sits back and gives Lloyd the courtesy of a free rein of expression. Such skill from both parties. It's a real privilege to see and hear these two great musicians and raconteurs in their home environment (a studio).

I love that Lloyd's minimalist set up on his guitar has forced him to think laterally to achieve unique and original musical moves. A wonderfully entertaining video.

Thank you for taking the time to post this great interview which I found most interesting, it highlights the early struggles that Lloyd had to overcome when starting out as a professional musician and just how willing he is to share the knowledge he has gained over many years with other players. Paul did an excellent job interviewing and holding back at times in order to allow Lloyd the floor. I look forward to Part Two.

So many diamonds! ... I could write so much more but there are just too many diamonds here!
How I would love these two guys to be at the ISGF! What would it cost? Can it be covered!?
