Bob, my reply is posted on your other post and that was yes I am more than pleased with my sound on my my Mullen G2.
Just a few tweets on the Peavey 112 after changing from the Sho Bud LDG to the Mullen and the results for me was well pleasing and not what I consider a thin sound. My opinion and others who have heard it agree. Also very happy with my Peavey amp and the settings I have. Do I think I really care what other ears think? No not really.

I haven't found my sound for sure, still experimenting, and probably more time should be spent on my hands than on the electronics, but here's a few things I have found which is not changing from day to day:

On my Mullen DIscovery I now have a Telonics type 84 pickup, previously I have had a BL705 and a Truetone on this guitar and the Telonics is probably all I ever need. Dead quiet and well balanced.
I have a big old Roland bass amp and Nashville 400 and a an old Fender Twin Reverb. The roland sounds real nice and the NV400 somtimes OK, but when I switch directly from either of these to the Twin I know there is the sound I'm looking for. Fresh, full, and wide open is what I would describe the Twin in comparison. The NV400 is surprisingly sterile and dull for lack of a better word.

So Telonics type 84 and Fender Twin are perfect for me.

You certainly like to stir the , how long is a bit of string this post is in a similar vein to the 36 different string actions on each string ,
apart from players having different guitars and amps we all hear things differently ( if at all ) so here comes my input
My hearing aids and the Hilton pedal Santa got me let me hear the tone I was getting from my Nashville 112 and I had to do something about it so I went online and searched the forums for information on settings, but that only made things more difficult, as all noted players had different settings for the same amp
I tried each setting available and eventually settled for the one Paul Franklin used as being the most suitable for my twin neck Rickenbacker console, then messed about with that to get my own sound
I now have a good tone balance between the E 13th front neck and the A6th neck back but each one could be tweaked a bit to suit the different tunings
Here are the results I got from my search ending with my settings ( black amp ) and Dereck Thurlby 's settings at Gartcosh last month.
I now have a sound to die for and that might happen if I give it more "wellie" in the house to hear it properly
I am now in breach of the official secrets act by disclosing this useless information but who cares I'm gonna die happy

Ok here goes, for what it's worth.
BMI steel into a Fender passive volume pedal.
Roland Cube 80 xl amp set to :Bass at 3 oclock Mid at 10:30 Treble 11:00 Prescence 12:00 Reverb on 3:00, (plate type) and two quick taps on the Delay. Useful for anybody as a starting point. I've got mine on JC clean.

I have my Cube 80XL set very similar to Jason, a tad less bass perhaps, and I usually use an external reverb/delay pedal. If I use the onboard FX for simplicity then I set them as for Jason's Cube. I think there's a good combination right there.
