Bonjour everybody, I'm wondering :
is there a way, a place, a book, a person or a god to know how many pieces of a certain instrument were made ?

I'd start with the manufacturer, assuming they're still in business. Or forums like this one.Some forum members have attempted to catalog old who bud guitars, for example.
