Push Pull - Tuning C Pedal

Postby henry » Mon Sep 05, 2016 5:49 pm

I'm sorry if this has been done to death already!

I am having real problems trying to tune the C pedal on an Emmons Push Pull.

There is only one up and down adjuster at each end and it seems to affect the B -> C# raise on both the A and C pedals.

The only way I can think of adjusting the two raises independently is changing the the amount of movement on the pedal rod adjuster.

Then there seems to be a separate adjuster under the body for the C pedal E -> F# raise to compensate.

This seems a bit complicated :| , is it the right way?

Any help much appreciated. :guitar: :guitar:

Thanks John, that would be great. I'm touring at the mo but will give you a bell when I'm back home.

Are they all set up differently ? Presumably cos of the limitation of the changer compared to an all pull, all of them must have some way of adjusting the two B -> C# pulls independently?

No they are not all different but there is a procedure and you have to get it right I am lucky to have a couple here that work perfectly .... when they are right I know of nothing better .... I wouldn't swap my push pull for all the tea in China and a night out with Naomi Campbell...
