Windows Help Files

Postby Boru » Wed Aug 31, 2016 10:15 am

Hello all.
I recently re-installed Band in a box (2007) on my Windows 7 (64bt) PC and find that I cannot access the tutorials or 'how to' within BIAB
PC tells me that there is a memory problem, but I know that's not the case, as I have 8gbs of memory and no other progs running.

After looking around, it seems that the help files are closely entwined with Windows help files, which apparently are not included in later versions of Windows.(.hlp ?)
This file is missing within the BIAB program files even though BIAB has installed ok.

The F1 button seems to work for other programmes, but this may be a different area altogether.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks
Bob

Although I concur with Will's sentiment , I must take issue with his choice of recipe :? Surely, the appropriate accompaniment must be, '& CHEEZ'.

Meanwhile, back at the OP! As a work around of sorts, Bob, I always have the pdf manual open when I'm using any unfamiliar programmes. The BIAB manual is very comprehensive! Hope this helps ( a wee bit)
GFI Ultra keyless S10 4+5 Emmon's setup + Sigler, Li'l Izzy, Hilton volume pedal, Roland Cube 80gx, Joyo American Sound Pre-amp, Behringer VD400 Delay Pedal, Peterson Strobo Plus HD and a brace of bars, Ben's, Ezzee-Slide, Pearse, BJS, SIT nickel strings.

Danny.
Fraid I don't have a manual for BIAB, but have managed to sort the problem of missing help files.
The Windows file I finally found - in case anyone else has the same hassle.- Windows6.1-KB917607-x64.msu - All ok now.
Thanks all

Jason.
I had already found out about this from a local PC man, and yes it was the answer.
Thanks anyway.
