First Time Recording Steel in the Studio

Postby Heartland Balladeer » Sun Jun 19, 2016 5:59 pm

Hey All,

I spent yesterday at Resivoir Studios recording Steel on the debut album from Steepways. This was my first time recording steel guitar but it was a great day and im pleased with what came out of it.

There is a clip of me playing on one of the tracks on the bands facebook page called "Darren & Blair trading licks" for any one that would like to have a listen.

Thanks Will,

Yes all original, 13 track album. The plan was to only have steel on 3 tracks but then the guys changed their mind and want Steel full time so I got the job! I have recorded Steel on 8 of them and will be putting Dobro to 2

Good for news for the Steel guitar!
