Well, Ivor certainly brings his own unique tone to a conversation

Very interesting and funny man, I'll need to take a trip to Knockhill and watch him race when we get back. Janice was very flattered by your description Ken 8-)

Today's the day, I just hope I don't embarrass myself too much in front of the pro guys. Everybody has been very kind and friendly to us, Brethren of the bar rings very true.

Danny, I think I'm going to have to buy one of these special steel seats we discussed in a previous thread ;)

Just heading over now, should be a great day :guitar:

There you go guys, room was a bit dark but looks ok.

Didn't do the setup today due to me sleeping in, tomorrow's the day. Watched Paddy Long, Jay Dee Maness & Buck Reid tonight, all excellent.

Willie, managed to track down 2 sources for Jagwires, unfortunately the gauges are not exactly to your spec.

One was. John Hughey set, didn't specify stainless or nickel but I can look into further. The gauges were,

13
15
11.5
14
17
20
24
28
34
38

They had individual strings but not all the gauges you wanted.

The others are definitely stainless and were a Buck Reid set,

Apparently there are not as many vendors this year, so not so much choice. I'll keep my eyes open tomorrow, are these any good for you?

Geoff, looks fantastic.Regarding strings, the John Hughey set are stainless from what I remember, got them from John's wife Jean, normally has table at top right of hall looking at stage, Mr Gamble has used these several times when I brought them back.

Geoff, If one or two of the gauges are out it doesn't matter too much, a wee tweek at the changer sorts that out
Your new guitar looks stunning
Thanks again

Malcolm - Jean Hughey is not here this year unfortunately.
I have taken some photos around the place that might be of interest to some. Last night, I particularly enjoyed the sets of Frank Carter (Infinity Guitars), J D Maness, Al Brisco and Buck Reid. Buck has finally met a lady and they seem to be very happy together. He came and sat with me in the bar last night for a spell, and he was in a very happy place in his life. The main hall was packed with punters for the concert last night, and the atmosphere was great. I sat close to Geoff and Janice Noble, and they looked as though they were enjoying themselves.

I was out on the tiles with my buddy Paddy Long last night, and we didn't get back to the Red Roof Inn until 4.30 this morning. I managed somehow to put my back out to the extent that I can barely walk today. Just taken some Ibuprofen, and I am waiting for that to kick in. In the meantime, here are the photos. Best wishes to you all.
