Careful on the oil products chaps or you'll finish up with pics like these. PTFE as you mentioned earlier Ken,, is by far my preferred route!

Don't forget Roy, a little goes a long way.

And- Don't forget Roy its also good for the old knees, wash em first though. ;)
Anyway! Whats all this talk about maintenance, ask Bob about my old Clark, so much gunk underneath ( 33 years) he had to start work with a grinder, it played ok and sounded sweet (at least to my old ears) :roll: :lol: :lol: ;)

Yep! 'The proof is in the puddin' Halfords axle grease aint what it used to be, some of that stuff had been clinging on there for 32 years and with the exception of ruining some stage outfits it never gave a problem, bring back the old day. :lol: :lol: nice to see the old gal Bob, I know she is happy in Ireland.
