Hi, I'm Mandy and I'm looking for a steel player for my band. and.and! ... could actually be 'a' Randy taking the urinal drops, and in fact be another player checking egos!

I have never had it within the music industry but I have in the photographic one! Correspondence from what looked like a legitimate email address from a young lady who apparently had had problems with a photographer was seeking my advice, after some considerable exchange I spotted a slip up in a telephone number which instantly told me the correspondent was not as portrayed but someone was having fun at my expense!

Needless to say I have only been caught out the once!

Any similar experiences?

Got into correspondence with a prankster advertising a Sho~Bud D10 in the early days. Advert said the address was Leicester, pranko said it was Glasgow. Google maps said it was a boarded up Taxi Office. You can keep Gum Tree for me!
