Thoughts?

What is one worth if it came up for sale?

Hi Kev.

Mark Dunn's thoughts were.... "Save your money Dave".

Basically because of the old electronics causing latency which modern amps don't do. We all probably used peavey in the past so I don't really understand. Ears are better than specification and electronic measurement sometimes. That goes for tuners as well, although I love strobe tuners. That's a different topic.

Is that your Nashville amp on eBay?

No....ain't my amp on Ebay....that one looks to be significantly over-priced!!!

Surprised to hear the 'latency' word creeping in to the description of an amp like this....although I realise that it is a digital design.

No doubt someone out there will next be saying that they can actually hear the 'latency'...??

[b]Peavey did not produce an EU model of the Nash 1000, since it would not have been cost effective to comply with the EU standards and the probability of low sales. Any amp in this country will have been fitted with a transformer(adding weight)
It has the same pre amp/eq as the Nashville 112. the speaker of course is a 15". I had a 1000 which I eventually traded for a 112 and there was little difference in the tone at all.
I think the one on e bay is too high and My guess is that £300 would be nearer the resale value for a used amp.
Obviously it depends on the individual but there are better amps out there.I ended up with a separate pre amp and used only the power amp input on the Peaveys.

Not so with this one!!
It's an American spec (110V) model with an additional (and external!) transformer pack for use on our 240V.
No transformer fitted....so no increase in weight!!!! :D

I believe that Ted Nesbitt brought these to the UK....but may be wrong!?
