Get well soon Malcolm...it only hurts when you laugh...my misses went through the same invasive surgery a few years back...with the one stone and the Gall Bladder removes she weighed in a lot less    I would have said convalesce here in France but the temperature is 39°C at the moment...just a tad too hot to sit out in. They gave Yvonne a fairly loose diet here in France, which helps from the digestion point of view. Most of it is lowish fat content, yea I know difficult! :D :D
Get back soon to give us grief.

Malcolm seems to be doing ok, he is currently in Ward 4C but thinks he will be moving to Ward 4B in the next day or so, I wish I could visit to take the load off Roseleen, but because of this dreaded lurgy it's best I stay away, I am texting regularly
If any of the boys from the steel workshop who are reading this could pay a visit, I'm sure the old codger would be pleased to see you.

The latest on the old codger from Beith is this, Yesterday wos not so good, I think the Morphine has worn off and he is now on regular pain meds, so I think the pain is a little more accute.
He is a stoic old sod and he will cope with this and will soon be on the mend.
As I mentioned in my previous post, if any of the Brethren of the Bar feel so disposed, I am sure he would appreciate a friendly face or two, as for me I think I am coming through the lurgy and may be well enough later on in the week to go down and rip the p"ss out of him, but the last thing I want to do is pass this on to him at this time, any other time yes, but not now in his fragile state.
Lets all give him a huge online Aw there there now, you'll be alright

Don't mention plastic to Malcolm - he comes over all excited when he hears that word. He mustn't pull on that embroidery on his stomach!!

Just got back from Crosshouse Hospital visiting the old codger, there's no change, he's still ugly. Didn't work for me last year so why should it work for him. I was going to take him a turnip but he has no facilities for making soup. Seriously, he is in good spirits, looking forward to getting out,[no word of that yet] but he is on the mend. He is unable to get a wi fi signal so cant contact anyone on here. I passed on all the good wishes from all you lot out there, and he said: xxxx off, so thing are back to normal now. Donny
PS When I went into the ward I inquired after a Mr McMiser and they new where he was. How does that work?

I rang the ward and asked to speak to Mr McMaster. No-one knew anyone by that name. I said you must know him - he's a tight ba****d who goes under the name of McMiser. He tells his children and grandchildren that the gas meter is a moneybox. They said "Oh him - yes we know Mr McMiser sure enough. He wouldn't buy a newspaper as he said he only had a fifty pound note".
