Thanks Mark, did you manage to force old Bling's wallet to buy you a drink in Dallas? ;)

I'll have you know Mr McMiser that my wallet was open almost the whole weekend at Dallas as Paddy Long will confirm. :o

I had a shout at the bar when Mark joined us one evening. It was HELP!  I brought about 1,600 dollars back with me so we could have had a better time at the bar. My nurses wouldn't have been very happy with me if I had got wrecked while I was over there. Monsewer Greenwood brought back over 10,000 dollars, so I reckon I had a better time than he did.

That's because he took more over there than you did. ;) and being of good Celtic stock, was careful with his pennies, after all he has many dependant car part makers over in US, so has to spend wisely , take it there was no new MSA?

No there were no new MSA's for sale, much to Ivor's disgust. He even waived a fistful of dollars in front of Jerry Anderson for a guitar that was on display for someone else, but Jerry wouldn't budge. I was given a half hour guided tour around the MSA guitars by Ivor, showing me their finer points of engineering. I have never disputed that they are very well put together, just that excellent mechanics doesn't always equate to excellent tone. :D

At least I brought a guitar back with me. Nearly pulled my right arm out of its socket. :o

I must say, I thought David Wright's MSA sounded amazing.. and what a great set... terrific band and brass section. Love that Zum body Ken... missed our coffee at the airport Malcolm... although Ted and Ivor turned up out of the blue about half hour before take off...

David Wright was helped by the rig that he was playing through. :D

Thanks for comment on Zum cabinet Mark. Bruce Zumsteg also did some work on it. He drilled the holes in the back apron for the cross shafts to fit in the metal bushings. He also supplied Mark Giles with the Zum decal. I thanked both Bruce and Mark Giles after I opened the packaging that the cabinet came in. Bruce wouldn't take any money for his work, merely saying that he owed Mark Giles a favour. What a gem of a guy. I couldn't resist checking it out, and Ted, Ivor and Alan came to my hotel room in the Red Roof to take a look. Ivor in particular was really impressed with it.

You mean you would put your hand in your sporran Mr McMiser?? Don't spend too much or too often or it might become a habit. I am just off to one of my regular Sunday lunchtime/afternoon gigs. You wouldn't be able to wear your kilt down here today. The wind is very strong & blustery.
