Rains V Emmons ??????

Postby JohnDavisStringsHere » Wed Jan 21, 2015 10:56 am

I recorded this toon with my old Emmons and also with the Rains, the Emmons recording is an Mp3 and I cannot post it on here as I don't know how but I can put a link to the Rains as that's on youtube..... Reckon the Emmons sounded a lot better but unless someone else can put my mp3 up here for me ...you will not hear the difference....

Basil appears to have gone to ground at the moment  so I am unable to get my mp3 hosted.... but, in the meantime my friend Les has made me a track in the key of F that is much better suited to this toon and its where Emmons plays it..

so, if any of you would like a copy of this homemade track just let me know and I will send the mp3....... it is quite an easy thing to play and ideal for newbies to get their teeth into as long as you don't expect to sound like Emmons :o

Its gone awful quiet round here at the moment, posting is the lifeblood of this forum so can you buggers please post .....

Great song, nice one John... The Rains sounds to me like it has a really nice tone... would be interesting to hear the Rains v Emmons with the same setup... How about swapping over while recording? Just a thought!

Dave Hartley's guitars eh - John, you're famous..... :P

p.s. Is he keeping his double neck?
Can't believe he's burning all his bridges.

Maybe so Tony but he did'ent leave any of those smooth fast lics on the thing! :o :(

Here's the Emmons playing the same toon with a bit of Lisa on the end ....I think the p/pull has it.... ;)
