Thanks folks. If it wasn't for John having a grumble I would never have known about Basil's setup - and that has always been of interest to me. Just goes to show that you need to read everything here. No - I'm not being cheeky - it really has interested me. Being a relatively new member I may have missed it if the subject has been raised before but its a lot of reading to go through several years worth of posts.

Interesting Mick, my E9th is also quite different, I have the pedals far right, that's in order to minimise the length of the rods and reduce slack and tuning problems that COULD happen due to metal expansion..
This is my 2x10 setup..
