People who get right up Your nose!!

This is where you can rest a while and discuss anything - doesn't have to be steel guitar related!

People who get right up Your nose!!

I guess We all know one or two.
I think of Myself as being a friendly non aggressive type and I converse with loads of people and would appear to get on well with them.
There is one little guy who is really doing My head in at the moment.I have known Him for about forty years and whilst We have never been what one would call "friends" We have conversed many times at pubs and clubs.
It is hard to believe how self opinionated this guy is,I now do everything I can to avoid Him,very often He tells Me that We are not playing a song the "Right" way and that our guitar work is not right,He is very disrespectful to just about every muso in our scene by commenting on how bad they are or how they should be doing things differently.
Needless to say He is a pretty crap singer and a very basic strummer and very rarely does He have any gigs.He is a jelous wee B.
It has come to My ears that He has got a bunch of guys together and is doing an accoustic jam and has been playing afternoons for free, one of the pubs thinks He is great because it is a freebee and it now appears that He has taken a gig from a Mate of mine because the pub owner is getting it free.
What a little weasel
Snakes crawl at night.
I hate to think bad things and I do believe that the world is big enough for us all to make a noise but I hope He ends up on His arse.
Billy
By the way, Bob Adams played with this guy years ago and sussed Him out in minutes.

Ha!.... 'GJ' is still chanting then is he! Goodness me! He certainl wouldn’t have a good word to say about me! As he wasn’t a happy bunny when I quit the band for Barry and Billy.....Changed days mind, I recall almost having to call the cops in Sanquhar at midnight when the landlord wanted to pay us by cheuque! I thought Yer Man! Was going to have a heart attack! Those were the 'Live days' when the 'Bankies' still had a football club and we had an aftrenoon gigs in there!!!Now that park is a B&Q!! What times we are in eh! Gigging free and selling PSG s too cheap! Come back Nat Sanderson! At least his missus got you your fee! Don’t let it under your skin Billy think on who still has the regular gig!

Bob
I should have said HE sussed You out in minutes
I did mention Your name to Him a while ago and the wee R.Sole put on a fake puzzled expression and said He could'nt remember You.
You were definately too good for the likes of Him

maybe he might sing at the steel festival for free? ? ?.......sorry! ....... we have all met them types billy, its only a couple of years ago, i was asked by a band leader, could i do a gig with them,to make up a four piece, some kinda charity dance, he said not great money, just expenses, but there could be a lot of gigs off it, i agreed without even asking how much 'expenses' i would get, me being the trusting soul i am, done the gig, all went well, then this guy came up to me, as i was packing up my gear, and said 'are you the one that wants the money? 900 euro isn't it?' i said no, and pointed to the band leader, then when i had loaded my car, the band leader came out and thanked me for doing the gig, and handed me 75 euro, saying sorry its not much, i challenged him straightaway, saying 'your damn right its not much out of 900 quid' he looked stunned, and sheepish at the same time, and dug out another 100 euro, i took it and didn't thank him, i have done a couple of gigs with him since, but always ask him whats the money first before i take the gig, now he is what i would call a weasel, although locally around Mayo he is known to others as KEN, oops! me and my big gob again,
