It's a bit worrying to see the proliferation of competing sites. I can't see how it isn't in danger of reducing activity on other sites. How is this NOT a Fred Justice marketing thing? Regardless of how well thought of he and his steels are! <ducks to put on tin helmet>

It's just a forum.

It's worth popping in from time to time, just to maybe learn something from one of the guys with steel guitar experience.

That's all.

I realise that Dave, that's exactly how I learned what I have? God bless the Internet. But why start another when there are already established forums like the SGF? JD was bemoaning the lack of activity here recently. Marc says it's fine, and activity up to normal levels, but I was watching this forum for a week and hardly anything got posted. It was very quiet for a while. It must stand to reason that any new forum will bleed away activity from established forums (fora?). Not that I have anything against Fred, as I'm sure you will appreciate. Call me an old cynic, but it looks like a marketing move. It's straight out of the management school handbook.

You old cynic. :D

He doesn't need marketing ideas. He is full of orders.
Fred also organises steel meetings and goes to most USA festivals.
It's a helpful forum to me and others can see his replies. It's a good idea to me.

It's clearly a recent startup, Dave. I'll watch with interest. I just wouldn't want to see interest bled away from other established sites.
