Great thread, Billy! Now let me see... 79 I reckon:

PSGs (26), lap steel (8), 6-string guitars (18), 1 bass (4), 1 resonator mandolin (8), 1 ukulele (4), 1 dobro (6), 1 Moroccan lotar (4), 1 Vietnamese dan bau (1). The dan bau is the weirdest thing. Every note has to be a "chime" or harmonic, most of the notes of the scale (and all of the expression) being found by changing the string tension by hand "on the fly" using the world's oldest "whammy bar" technique. The great-great-grandpappy of the PSG? :guitar: :guitar:

Here we go:-

PSGs (22), 6 strings (54), bass (4), mandolin (8), banjo (5), fiddles (8). I make that 101. Oh dear! My better half has just looked over my shoulder and dropped a very large hint about "thinning the herd". We'll see.

JD... It's horses for courses. She is definitely a better person as I'm sure would realise very quickly if you ever meet. Must go now. Have lots of strings to change. All the best. John H.

A mere 32 for me. One SD10' three guitars and a ukulele.
