How long have you been playing pedal steel.

I can relate to the lyrics, like to truck around myself.

Did you take the video footage yourself? Nice production, scenes tie in with the lyrics well. I've got about 6 hours footage of driving around Northern California and about the same for the Rockies in Canada. Keep meaning to do something with it.

I take it you've got a studio set up, how do you do your recording etc?

I've been an psg owner for about 5 years but only recently got to a point where i feel vaguely like i know what i'm doing but even then more and more things turn up that teach me I know nothing !!
I shot the vid in 2005 on a mad road trip i did while I was living in Santa Cruz.
I have a studio in my house running Cubase on Win 7 etc

Snap on a lot of that. It's a hard instrument to get to grips with. I bought my first PS (GFI student) about 8 years ago, played for about a year then it sat in the attic for a few years. Took it up again about 4 years ago, bought a Carter U12 just before Xmas which has made a big difference to my playing.

I know exactly what you mean about vaguely knowing what you are doing, then you hear someone else playing... But hey, I get so much enjoyment when I'm playing it makes up for it. Your PS playing sounds nice on the track, fits the song well and it's all in pitch. Nice arrangement and production.

thanks, tbh my PS playing was still in early days when i did this, loads of takes and comping and not sure of 'my sound'
Six months of regular gigging has changed things a lot. Still got a zillion miles to go of course. there is no end !!!
