Excellence all round. I tried to describe Mike's tone in my Nashville thread, but it's not until you see and hear a clip like this that you realise just what a player and tone monster he is. I was so fortunate to have a whole evening of that at the Station Inn, and I sat about 4 feet from him. Jimmy Capps, a resident band member at the Opry, is a hardened session musician and is not easily moved to emotion. Mike Johnson is the band leader on these Family Reunion recordings (I have over 20 of the DVDs), and is proud of the line up that he has put together for those recordings. Hank Singer the fiddle player was at Dallas last year and was great.
